Who We Are & Why We Overland
At Africa Eco Ventures, we believe in authentic safari experiences rooted in partnership, conservation, and community. Our immersive Overland Expeditions are co-hosted and led by Angus, owner of Africa Wild Trails, and myself, Haley Dahl—both passionate adventurers conservationists and nature lovers.
With local expertise and years of leading and guiding groups, we take small groups on off-the-beaten-track adventures across Southern Africa, visiting handpicked routes and destinations we love so much. Travel is in fully equipped 4x4 vehicles with rooftop tents/lodge options—either self-drive or hop on a seat and we do the rest. We handle all logistics and shopping for meals, so you can focus on connection—with the land, wildlife, local communities and inner journey.

OVERLANDING OFFERS YOU
The opportunity to slow down and enjoy the scenery wildlife and surrounds in 4x4 fully equipped vehicles with rooftop tents, travelling in a small group of estimated 14 people maximum and 6 vehicles.
We organise the routes, hire the 4x4s, buy the food, book the accommodation and all you need to do is come along and adventure with us! There are options for self-drive or hop into a vehicle and be driven.
Each vehicle has an opportunity to ‘lead’, to be the first vehicle in the convoy for a day on the road. Working on a rotational basis, should you want to.
Your two leaders Angus and Haley are always with you to answer questions and lend a hand.

If you prefer a longer adventure our routes can be seamlessly combined into one extended overland journey taking in two or 3 countries, giving you the opportunity to explore from 3 to 6 weeks.

Our offerings gear towards ethical and sustainable safari travel and adventures in Africa, with a low-impact footprint. We shy away from copy/paste itineraries anyone can buy, and love to choose the path less travelled
